Tissue Fabric

Tissue fabric at TradeUNO — fine metallic-ground tissue at 46 and 54 inch widths in plain weave.

Tissue is woven with a metallic or zari filament alongside the base yarn, which is what gives it the papery crispness and the light-catching surface. It is sheer, holds a shape better than chiffon, and gathers into volume without adding much weight. Per-metre prices are listed on each product page.

It snags easily and the metallic filament will not take a hot iron, so press on low through a cloth. Designers, boutiques and export houses order here for dupattas, lehenga layers, saree pallus, sleeves and festive overlays, with wholesale pricing on bulk quantities and dispatch across India, the USA and Dubai/UAE.
