Modal satin, the most-stocked variety here, is woven in satin weave and runs from around Rs. 811 a metre. Modal is a cellulose fibre made from beech pulp: it takes dye deeply, stays soft after repeated washing, and falls closer to the body than cotton without the cling of polyester.
