Hand Block Print Fabric

Handblock print fabric at TradeUNO — hand block-printed cotton at 42 and 44 inches, sold by the metre and in bulk.

Each colour in a handblock design is printed with its own carved wooden block, stamped by hand across the length of the cloth. That means slight variation in placement and ink density from one repeat to the next — the evidence that a human printed it, and the reason no two lengths are quite identical.

If you need mechanical consistency across a large production run, a digital print will serve you better. If the hand of the maker is part of the product, this is the right collection.
