Kota is woven in Rajasthan in a distinctive square check called khat, alternating fine cotton and silk threads so the cloth reads as a grid of tiny transparent squares. The structure makes it exceptionally light and airy — it is one of the coolest fabrics in the catalogue to wear in peak summer.

It is delicate and semi-sheer, so handle gently and line fitted garments. Used for summer sarees, dupattas and light kurtas.
