Cutdana Fabric

Cutdana fabric at TradeUNO — cutdana beadwork on crushed velvet at 44 inches and other grounds, sold by the metre and in bulk.

Cutdana are small faceted glass or plastic beads, cut so each face catches light separately — which is why cutdana work sparkles in a harder, more granular way than sequins, which reflect in flat sheets. It is hand-applied, and the density of beading is what drives the price.

Beaded fabric is heavy and unforgiving to stitch. Clear beads from the seam line before sewing or you will break needles, allow for the extra weight in the pattern, and dry clean only.
