Brocade is a richly woven fabric characterised by raised, ornamental motifs created on a jacquard loom using a supplementary weft, producing a dense, textured surface with a subtle sheen and structured drape well-suited to festive and ceremonial wear. This piece is woven in an orange ground with an all-over floral jaal (lattice) motif.

Jaal, meaning "net" or "lattice" in Hindi/Urdu, refers to an interconnected, all-over repeating motif pattern — widely used across woven and embroidered textiles.
